BUFFALO — Dover High School student Renee Rosenkranz placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle finals in 24.82 seconds, competing for Our Lady of Lourdes High School at the New York State Swimming Championships at Burt Flickenger Aquatic Center on the campus of Erie Community College.
Rosenkranz placed 15th in the consolation finals of the 100 freestyle in 54.52.
Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Olivia Baczek placed 15th in the consolation finals of the 50 freestyle in 25.29.
In the 200 freestyle relay consolation, Rosenkranz teamed with Lourdes teammates Blair Wegescheide, Madeline Armater and Sarah Kolosky to place ninth in 1:41.25.
Baczek teamed with Shea Berg, Samantha Granan and Brenna O’Keefe to place 14th in the consolation of the 200 medley relay in 1:54.15.
