MHAL track championships

KINGSTON — It's a hot and sunny day here at Dietz Memorial Stadium, at the Mid-Hudson Athletic League holds its spring track and field championship meet.Despite the oppressive conditions, athletes have already begun to capture MHAL titles.

In the boys' 400-meter dash, Webutuck's Tiere Spruill won in 49.4 seconds.
Mike Scott of Red Hook the boys' high jump by clearing 6 feet even.
Fellow Raider John Moore took first place in the long jump by leaping 21-31/2, and he also took first in the triple jump (42-11/2).
Darnell Cummings from Millbrook took first place in the 100 dash in 11.0 seconds and the 200 dash in 21.6 seconds.
Dylan Nowik of Rhinebeck beat the field in the 1,600 run (4:30.9).
Roosevelt's 400 relay team won in 44.1.
On the girls' side, Rhinebeck's Elizabeth Marvin won the 3,000 run in 10:52.6. Marvin was also triumphant in the 800 run with her time of 2:18.9, as well as in the 1,500 run (4:53.10).
Marvin's Rhinebeck teammate, Annabel Clarke, won the 2,000 steeplechase (7:18.2).
Pine Plains' Julia Mizutani cleared 8-6 to win the pole vault.
Rachel Pierantozzi of Millbrook won the 100 dash in 12.6 seconds.
Delethia Pope is the champ in the shot put with her toss of 32-1.
Krystal Ramirez from Marlboro won the triple jump by leaping 34-3.
Highland's Dorothy Murjani won the 400 hurdles in 1:09.6.
Millbrook's Tara Adams and Red Hook's Rowan Willigan tied for the high jump title, each clearing 4-11.
Winning the pentathlon, New Paltz's Naomi Bouchard collected 2,211 points.
The Rhinebeck 3,200 relay team won in 10:04.4.
