The Wappingers Central School District's Thomas Macrini Sports Hall of Fame inducted 21 athletes and coaches at a special ceremony held on May 1 at the Mercury Grand in Poughkeepsie.
The inductees were Ryan Bergmann, Brian Glendenning, Andrew May, Meaghan McNeil, Jeanne Hadden Paino, Sara Pomerantz, Matt Williams, Emily Brownell, Scott Capraro, Matt Doran, Elizabeth LeBarron Dowd, Jeff Matteo, Brooke Davey, Joe Montalbano, Chris Moran, Marc Mostransky, Mary Sclafani, Scott Sniffen, Darryl Sullivan, Sarah Speicher Tubbs and Jason Van Buren.
The Special Service awards were given to Paula Johnson and Sherrill Murray-Lazarus.
The Hall of Fame now has 347 members. To qualify, athletes must have graduated at least 10 years ago. Retired coaches are honored for their accomplishments in their sport.
