Lacrosse caps busy regional day

MIDDLETOWN — The action here at Middletown HS's Faller Field is about to heat up as the lacrosse teams from Red Hook and Putnam Valley are set to face off.
The Raiders, the champs of Section 9, and the Section 1-champions Tigers will play with the chance to move on in the state tournament on the line. Today's winner will play Thursday in the 5:30 p.m. regional final at Hofstra University on Long Island.

You can click here for live updates from this Red Hook-Putnam Valley game when it starts at 5:30 p.m.

It's already been a busy day for local teams in regional action, as the Rhinebeck softball team won its super regional opener and Highland's softball squad lost its regional semifinals.
